A Different Kind Of Foundation
The NAAIA Foundtion is fueling a powerfully inclusive future through strategic, longterm investments in people through Scholarship and Leadership Development. The NAAIA Foundation is a seed planting organization. We invest in people and ideas that are often overlooked and underserved. Through these investments, we are cultivating the next crop of African American students and professionals.
Our Story
The NAAIA Community Development Corporation (CDC) initiative was launched in 2018, beginning its work by funding the J.L. Tillman Scholarships in 2019 and 2020. The NAAIA CDC also distributed funds to assist with Hurricane Dorian relief. In January of 2020, the NAAIA National Bboard approved funding for an outside consultant to work with immediate past chair Ken Branch and a small working committee to re-establish the CDC with a separate board. Under the board’s direction, the NAAIA Foundation has positioned itself uniquely as a seed planting organization.
The NAAIA Foundation provides philanthropic support to individuals and programs in local communities throughout the world. Our investment helps to enable sustainable long-term economic growth and wealth creation in African -American communities. The Foundation supports and encourages endeavors that enable African American leadership development, provide scholarships and fund educational programs, increase the understanding of and importance of the insurance and financial services industry, aid in the increase of business ownership, and assist in community development efforts. We help expand the importance of the insurance and financial services industries in creating and maintaining wealth for African Americans.
